CARPET Management Team consists of group of professional technologist in the area of Research & Development, Image Processing, Artificial Intelligence, Neural Networks, Genetic Algorithms, Project Management and Commercial Application Development. Mr. Chew Chee Ming is currently pursuing his B.Sc. in Computing (Internet Technology) at APIIT. His interests include image processing, neural networks, artificial intelligence (AI) and 2D/3D graphics. He is a fluent C/C++ programmer and is experience in programming on the Win32 platform using Microsoft Visual C++ and Microsoft Visual Basic. Mr. Hank Heng Zeng Aun is Bachelor of Science in Computing (2003). Working
for APIIT R&D since year 2000 and has gone thru development work
for first APIIT R&D MDC Grant the Realistic Talking Head Model
(implementing 3D/2D engine), follow by ScreenShield (a pornographic
detection engine) and FileShield (extension to ScreenShield, second
MDC R&D grant). Specific topics of interest are: Low level implementation
of image processing algorithm, 2D/3D visualization engine, and software
application design.
Mr. Muhammad Anis Ur Rehman is currently pursuing his MSc in Information Technology Management from Staffordshire University, United Kingdom. He has completed his Bachelor of Science in Computing with 1st Class Hons at Staffordshire University, United Kingdom in 2002. Anis is a Microsoft Certified Professional, Microsoft Office user Specialist and Certified Linux Administrator. Anis has worked as a consultant in Kuala Lumpur for the past 3 years and has implemented 30 + successful projects in Singapore and Malaysia. He has been working in APIIT R&D since May 2001 on project such as FileShield/ScreenShield - A Content Based Pornography Detection Technology, Automated Intelligent Scheduling System (iSmart - Intelligent Scheduling Management and Resource Optimisation Technology), Authentication Gateway, Calendaring system, Communication Centre, Media Library and Catalog systems etc. He is also working for Guardware Ltd UK as Senior Systems Consultant for Business Development in Asia and Gulf region. Mr. Muhammad Waqas is Bachelor of Science in computing (1st Class Hons) 2002. He has been working with Asia pacific Institute of Information technology as Research Executive since 2001. Waqas is currently doing his MSc in IT Management from Staffordshire University, United Kingdom. Mr. Rizwan Mehmood has been working in the field of Artificial Intelligence, Genetic Algorithms, Neural Networks and Expert Systems. Rizwan has worked on Automated Scheduling Systems in different domain of problems ranging from College Timetabling to Machine Scheduling Solutions. Rizwan was awarded the Best Student of the Year Award from Staffordshire University for BSc(Hons) program, United Kingdom in Year 2002. He has worked for APIIT since May 2001 on different projects.
Mr. Liang Kim Meng is MSc in Technology Industrial (Computer Vision)
and Bachelor of Science in Computer Aided Geometry Design. Liang Kim
Ming interests include image processing, computer vision and pattern
recognition. Specific topics of interest are: content-based image
retrieval, image segmentation, shape recognition and human and face
detection and recognition. Liang K.M has 5 Publications in area of
Image Processing & Computer Visions with 4 years of experience
in this field.
Dr Scott is currently employed as both the head of Asia Pacific Institute of Information Technology's R&D deparptment as well as a Visiting Research Fellow at BTexact's Asian Research Centre. In these capacities he has been responsible for managing a number of multi-million Ringitt R&D projects as well as carrying out research work in the areas of AI and image processing (in which he has over 11 years experince). Dr Scott holds an M.A. in Mathematics from Cambridge University and a PhD in Mathematical Sciences from the University of Bath.
